The I-35W bridge which links the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota collapsed during the evening rush hour. At least 50 vehicles are believed to have plunged into the Mississippi river below. At least a dozen people were reported killed with dozens more injured. About 100,000 cars a day travel over the bridge, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Witnesses.
